Yes. XENIOS is local-first. The laptop server runs everything — POS, KOT, waiter app, inventory. Cloud sync happens every 5–30 seconds when the internet is available, but service never stops if it isn't.
We import menu, tables, staff, and the last 12 months of orders. Most migrations take 24–48 hours. We run XENIOS in shadow mode for a week alongside your existing system before cutover.
Single-outlet onboarding completes in 48 hours: Postgres install, menu seed, staff PIN setup, QR sticker print, kitchen + waiter device pairing, two-hour staff training. Multi-outlet rollouts are 1 week per location.
Order data is durable in Postgres on disk. The laptop reboots in under 60 seconds and resumes exactly where it stopped. No paper backup, no manual reconciliation. The service is wrapped in NSSM and auto-restarts if Node ever crashes.
Yes. The waiter app is a PWA — open xenios.in/w in any modern browser, tap 'Add to Home Screen', enter the staff PIN. Works on Android 10+ and iOS 14+. Voice notifications use the device's TTS.
Each table gets a printable sticker with a unique QR. Customer scans → opens xenios.in/qr in their browser → menu, cart, UPI pay. No app install. Customers can also choose 'Pay at counter' or 'Split with friends'.
Local DB is on your own laptop, encrypted at rest with full-disk encryption. Cloud Postgres is on a private VPS behind IIS with HSTS. PINs are bcrypt-hashed. JWT for admin endpoints. Daily encrypted backups copied to our VPS (or optionally your own cloud storage).
